  • The last painting in the manuscript falls in the eighth section of the third discourse, ‘On the Testaments attributed to Plato’. The text includes advice from the famous Greek philosopher to his pupil Aristotle, and the painting shows two men dropping gold coins from a balcony, to the crowd gathered below. It may relate to the nearby text stating, “Recognize truly that you will come to a place where master and slave are equal, so be not arrogant here.”
