Beige folio with 12 lines of calligraphy, 11 in black ink and 1 in red. All are enclosed by a border of thin gold, blue, green, and brown lines. There is a small black inscription in the lower left margin, and there are stains from the painting on the reverse.

  • According to the text on this page, man should strive to achieve felicity in body, mind, and community spirit. The illustration shows a doctor taking the pulse of a man who, with regular check-ups, is able to keep his body in balance, as suggested by Nasir al-Din Tusi’s writings.
