Ali Asani, Professor of Indo-Muslim and Islamic Religion and Cultures and Director of Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Islamic Studies Program at Harvard University, is an expert on the historical and contemporary Shia and Sufi devotional traditions in South Asia and the Ismaili mystical traditions.
