Our Music on Film series features a new screening each Wednesday evening — free for all to enjoy. Coinciding with our Listening to Art, Seeing Music experience, the series demonstrates the power of music and the arts to unite people across cultural, geographic, and political borders.

The Band’s Visit

Eran Kolirin, 2007, 89 min., PG. Presented in English, Hebrew, and Arabic with English subtitles.

A band comprised of members of the Egyptian police force head to Israel to play at the inaugural ceremony of an Arab arts centre, only to find themselves lost in the wrong town. The film inspired the acclaimed new Broadway musical, “The Band's Visit.”
