We are incredibly grateful for the support of our individual and institutional supporters, whose belief in our mission allows us to act as a catalyst for mutual understanding and tolerance between cultures, to be a centre of education and learning, and to foster a greater appreciation of the contributions that Muslim arts and culture has made to world heritage.
You can contribute in different ways by becoming a Friend, Patron, by making a charitable donation or becoming a volunteer. Thank you for your support!
Canadian and International residents pay their contributions in Canadian Dollars. Friends of the Museum at the Sustaining level and above receive a Canadian tax receipt, issued for the amount contributed less the value of privileges/benefits (referred to as the Advantage Amount).
Donate: Tax receipts will be issued for donations of $20 or more.
Tax Information for U.S.A. Residents:
Through a partnership with the Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A., American donors and Friends at the Patron level and above are eligible to receive a U.S. tax receipt.
U.S.A. residents may deduct their donations to domestic organizations that distribute funds to charities in foreign countries, as long as the U.S.A. organization controls the distribution of the funds. Through an agreement between Aga Khan Museum and Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A., donors to the Aga Khan Museum through the Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. are granted full Support privileges/benefits with the Aga Khan Museum.
Join & Support: By joining as a Friend of the Aga Khan Museum, you receive privileges/benefits that enable you to closely engage with the activities of the Museum. These privileges/benefits are valid for one year and can be renewed annually.
Donate: When you Donate, you make a one-time charitable donation but do not receive the benefits of becoming a Friend of the Museum.
Many of our Supporters Join & Support as well as Donate at the same time.
We offer a discounted National/International rate ($50) for Friends living 100 km+ from Toronto/outside the M and L postal codes, since they are not able to use their benefits as often as GTA residents.
