  • Materials and Technique:opaque watercolour, ink, and gold on paper
  • Marked as page 248 in the manuscript, this is the third painting to appear in the Gulistan. It represents a story in the seventh chapter, “On the Effects of Education.” Here, two sages debate in a garden pavilion, surrounded by attendants and other scholars.
