Gurprabh Sandhu and Sarvesh Dhir

Gurprabh Sandhu, an alumna of MS University in Vadodara, is renowned for her Sufi-infused Indian classical vocals, drawing inspiration from legends like Abida Parveen. Sarvesh Dhir, a versatile musician, has accolades spanning classical to Bollywood genres, highlighted by a national vocal competition win. Together, they shine as key members of the band Ibadat, blending traditional Sufi tunes with modern melodies to captivate audiences.

 

Andrew Kay
Thursday, December 28 | 6 pm, 7 pm, and 8 pm

 

 

Andrew Kay is an acclaimed musician and composer from Toronto, Canada. Kay writes and performs music ranging from Indo-Jazz, World Music, and Indian Classical Raga Music to Contemporary Jazz and contemporary Improvisations. He is among one of the first musicians in the world to perform Indian Classical music on the Alto Saxophone after spending more than a decade living and studying in the traditional Guru-Shishya parampara system with his Guru in Kolkata, India.

Dhaivat Jani and Lazar Miric
Friday, December 29 | 6 pm, 7 pm, and 8 pm

 

 

Dhaivat Jani is a Toronto-based award-winning Composer, Drummer and tabla Player. Originally from Ahmedabad, India, Dhaivat released his debut album “Sum // Parts” with his group Dhaivat Jani PLUS in 2023. Apart from leading his bands, Dhaivat also performs as a sideman for multiple artists across various genres. His vision is to push the creative boundaries by interweaving across various artforms keeping music at its core.

Lazar Miric is a multi-instrumentalist and producer based in Toronto, Ontario. His musical practice is focused on live instrumental performance involving electronics, stylistically influenced by various genres including Jazz, R&B, and Electronic Dance Music.
